The Telemark Alpenstock – a multipurpose methodical and marketing tool -Workshop
Read in DEWorkshop focus
The workshop introduces the Telemark Alpenstock as a supplement to the modern telemark lessons oriented on the German teaching view. While in the expert skill level the focus is on style, individuality and challenge, in the beginner skill level the stabilizing applicability for the high demands on balance and trunk tension in telemark skiing is in the foreground. Both methodological approaches fit together in the advanced skill level. The Alpenstock fascinates from several aspects: the original appearance, the universal application and the striking external effect. In today’s snow sports, the long carved wooden pole underlines the uniqueness of modern telemark skiing. With knowledge of the ski-historical background and versatile use, the Telemark Alpenstock becomes a multipurpose methodical and marketing tool.
