2016 marks the beginning of a merger of two resorts in one ski area “Pamporovo-Mechi Chal” first in Bulgaria. The merger will lead to establishment of Pamporovo and Mechi Chal winter sport resort with the aim to create  the largest ski resort on the Balkans, and raise  competitiveness, use fully available natural resource  in order to enable hosting of prestigious sport events.

Specialized ski buses will serve regularly  both ski areas  united by a single transport and ticketing system located just 9 km from each other in winter time. Special  bus stations and schedule boards will inform tourists about the actual traffic plans and ski busses movement.

Ski areas will offer ski slopes of varying complexity and length suitable for improving sking and snowboarding skills

‘Stenata’ ski slope

Ski slope ‘Stenata’is an emblematic ski run in Pamporovo ski zone, hosted plenty of international prestigious competitions part of national, FIS and ISIA sport calendars. The ski run starts from 1926 m altitude and finishes at 1650 m altitude at  Students’ 3ski center. Its length is 1250 m, and  width  60 m, de-leveling 283 m and has 28 projector pillars servicing night skiing. ‘Stenata’ ski run is highly difficult ski one for advanced and professional skiers and snowboarders. Quad chairlift and a T-bar drag lift are assisting its servicing.
