Introduction
The Twinrider is the first adaptive sit-down snowboard. Twinrider is a Dutch invention, by the company Prodaptive. It is made in Holland. It’s been developed for grassroots adaptive snow sports organisations that want to offer a fun and beginner friendly introduction into adaptive snowboarding for people that are unable to stand independently. Typical users are people with Spinal injuries, Spina Bifida or Cerebral Palsy. Typical use is with a guide or instructor, but many users are able to ride independently on easy green slopes after a few hours of practice.

Proposal for an international workshop
We’d like to organise an international workshop for snowboard instructors as well as adaptive ski/snowboard instructors with focus on the use of the sit snowboard. Participants will get to know the gear and it’s working mechanism and get an introduction in the teaching methodology of beginner sit-snowboarding. Off course the workshop will be very hands-on as participants will get to have a go at sit snowboarding themselves as well as at guiding one another through the first steps.
