The Challenge Argentina Foundation is a non-profit organization dependent on AADIDESS.

Challenge Argentina was born in 2016 in Bariloche, Argentina, with the purpose of offering mountain activities through teaching, facilitating access to ski centers in the country throughout the year to:

• People with disabilities and / or reduced mobility (motorists, blind people,hearing loss and cognitive)
• Older adults with physical limitations;
• And to those who, within these groups, present an unfavorable socioeconomic condition.

MISSION: Through Instructors specially trained by AADIDESS to this type of tasks, the CHALLENGE Argentina Foundation allows these people can live the experience of doing mountain activities such as skiing and trekking adapted under the specific technical conditions that each case requires.

VISION: The purpose is to extend their programs to ski centers and high mountain of the whole country under the most demanding standards worldwide, in order to arrive with these actions to all parts of the world and to the
as many people as possible.

OBJECTIVE: The Challenge Argentina Foundation, within its broad objective of
generate and support the development of this type of adapted activities, has
three main approaches:
1) From the social aspect, provide access to people with disabilities and / or reduced mobility, older adults with physical limitations and who present a socioeconomic condition unfavorable to the mountain activities adapted to their conditions.
2) From the tourist aspect, offer the opportunity to the visitors of carry out activities adapted together with their families and/or friends.

3) From the institutional aspect, work in the diffusion and universalization of these practices so that the dream of those who wish practicing this type of activity is possible anywhere in the country and the world. In addition, Fundación CHALLENGE Argentina works from its headquarters in Bariloche, Río Negro, Argentina, in the formation of Instructors specialized in skiing, trekking and other activities adapted.

The workshop will explain the idea in its beginnings, and the agreement signed with

INVAP (National State company of high technology dedicated to the design, integration, and construction of plants, equipments and devices in areas of high complexity), to develop the engineering, design and manufacture of a national adapted ski chair

We will develop the characteristics of this ski chair adapted to the Argentine ski areas and their ski lifts (chairs, etc).

We will also talk about the adapted trekking program and the use of the CIMGO® chair
